GRADUATE PROGRAM IN SOCIOLOGY
Master’s (12 to 37 months) and Doctorate (24 to 61 months)

The graduate program in sociology offers master’s and doctoral courses, which lead to the award of a master’s or doctoral degree, respectively.

The master’s course aims to develop and reinforce student’s scientific and professional abilities and to promote an academic environment in which students can contribute to the development of research and scientific production in the field of sociology.

The doctoral course seeks to provide more extensive, in-depth scientific and cultural training than the master's course and to develop student’s scientific creativity and ability to carry out research.

MASTER’S DEGREE IN SOCIOLOGY (38M)
Completion of the Program
 The minimum and maximum time limits for completing the Master`s Degree program are 12 and 37 months, respectively.
 To obtain the Master's Degree in Sociology, students must fulfill a total of 20 credits in courses and be approved in the defense of dissertation.

Completion of the Program
The minimum and maximum time limits for completing the Doctorate Course are 24 and 61 months, respectively.
To obtain the Ph.D. in Sociology, students must fulfill a total of 16 credits in courses and be approved in the defense of thesis.
