Descrição: In this research project, waste prevention behaviour analysis and life cycle assessment will be conducted to elucidate environmental risks and mitigation potentials of waste prevention strategies targeting plastic and food waste in Brazil. This approach to designing waste prevention strategies may also be adapted to other pro-environmental policies in the future (e.g., water consumption, energy efficiency). Another relevant outcome may be the much-needed reference to encourage policymakers to design and implement behavioural interventions that effectively support climate change mitigation to impact local policies positively..
