Admission

A regular student in the Graduate Program is simply a student who, upon completion of their program and meeting the necessary requirements, will receive a Master's/Doctorate degree.

Admission as a regular student to our Graduate Program is through a selection process. This encompassing selection process is annual and is conducted through a published notice.

The Program's selection process considers both academic merit (Research Project) and professional background (Curriculum Vitae and Interview), as well as inclusion criteria, particularly through the affirmative action reserve adopted by the Program. None of these criteria override the basic criteria of project suitability for the Program's Research Lines and faculty availability for guidance.

When applying, candidates must clearly indicate the Research Line they intend to pursue and whether they are eligible for the quota/affirmative action system.

The selection processes are governed by a specific notice published for this purpose. Candidates interested in participating in the process should consult the specific notice for the current year of interest for guidance on procedures, stages, and process rules. The information provided here is introductory.

Proficiency in a foreign language is a criterion for the program and must be proven as established in the public notice. For foreign candidates, proficiency in Portuguese must also be proven.

Specific selection notices may occasionally be published, in addition to the general selection process notice that takes place annually.
