Research Topics

Environmental Change and Sustainability

The programme’s research lines fall under a single area of concentration focused on different global environmental changes — such as biodiversity loss and changes in ecosystem services, land use and climate change — as well as on sustainability-related research areas including sustainable agricultural production and food security, health and well-being, gender equality, energy, sustainable cities, responsible production and consumption, and the strengthening of institutions to improve and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Faculty members may participate in up to two research lines to foster strong interaction between research across different strands.
