Originalmente, mais de 85% do território do Brasil estava ocupado por três biomas, Amazônia, Cerrado e Mata Atlântica, incluídos entre os mais biodiversos do mundo. No entanto, as mudanças no uso do solo e o desmatamento tem reduzido essa área a menos de 60%, restando mais áreas remanescentes recobertas por vegetação secundária e alterada do que por vegetação primária. Por outro lado, o clima está ficando mais seco e quente, com ocorrência crescente de períodos de calor e eventos de seca que causam um aumento na inflamabilidade das florestas.

The project seeks to uncover and understand the matrix of care provision that is fragmented and uncoordinated, and the resultant overlapping, inconsistent and at times competing polices and regulations shaping care work and its provision at different levels of governance. Rebuilding a robust and more resilient care organization requires a comprehensive understanding of the care economy and entails learning from innovative initiatives in different countries.
