Esta projeto objetiva intensificar as colaborações entre os proponentes que vem trabalhando nas relações entre classes sociais e distinção no Brasil e na França. Seus objetivos de pesquisa são: a) a análise de dados da pesquisa Para Além DA Distinção (Projeto Temático FAPESP 20074-2); b) o desenho de uma pesquisa comparativa inédita sobre os processos de classificação simbólica e os mecanismos subjacentes às desigualdades sociais multidimensionais que operam em países diferentemente inseridos no processo de globalização.

An inter- and trans-disciplinary framework based on a European-South American research cooperation is proposed to underpin climate services inSouth America. Climate variability patterns linking the South American Monsoon region, including Amazonia, with southeastern South America,influence climate extremes and impact several societal sectors. More than 200 million people live in the region that is one of the world largest agricultural producing region and where the second world largest hydroelectric power plant is situated.
